Overview
Moving form data by hand can take time and lead to entry mistakes. GravityImport lets you bring data from a CSV file into Gravity Forms as entries. It suits site owners and teams migrating records from another system, consolidating data, or restoring records from a backup.
The import process lets you upload a CSV file, match its columns to form fields, and preview the mapped data before importing. Imported values are checked against form rules, with errors handled during the process. The plugin supports standard and custom Gravity Forms field types, so it can fit a range of form data needs.
Features
- Import CSV files: Upload a CSV file and import its data into Gravity Forms as entries, reducing the need to enter records by hand.
- Map fields: Match CSV columns to the corresponding form fields so each imported value is directed to the intended place.
- Import entries in bulk: Bring multiple entries into a form in one import, useful when moving a larger set of records.
- Validate imported data: Check imported values against the form's rules and handle errors, helping identify entries that do not meet form requirements.
- Preview before importing: Review the field mapping and entries before completing an import, so you can check how the CSV data corresponds to the form.
- Support varied field types: Import data for a range of standard and custom Gravity Forms field types, including mapped multiple-choice values.
Best for
- WordPress sites migrating form records

Changelog
Version 2.12.4 — 8 October 2026
- Fixed Columns mapped to a Dynamic Lookup field set to "Multiple Choice" with multiple selections allowed imported nothing even though the import reported success; cells listing the field's stored values, such as record IDs (3, 1), now select those choices.
- Fixed Entries imported in the background could have no "Created By" user, and imported notes without their own author had none either (both now belong to the user who started the import).
- Fixed Imports stayed on "Preparing to import…" and never ran when GravityKit's "Enable Background Processing" setting was off but GravityImport's was on (these imports now run in the browser).
- Fixed With Gravity Forms 3.0.3 or newer, rows rejected for the form as a whole, such as a row whose only value was in a field hidden by conditional logic, were blamed on an anti-spam or CAPTCHA plugin instead of showing Gravity Forms' reason.
- Improved Foundation to version 1.36.0.
