Overview
Gravity Forms entries often need corrections after submission. GravityEdit lets authorized users make those changes from front-end views, so the editing work can happen where the entry data is displayed. This can suit sites that manage customer feedback, event registrations, or other information collected through forms.
Use GravityView views to display entries and edit selected fields inline. You can set who may edit entries and choose which fields are editable. Inline editing also supports Entry Tags and Dynamic Lookup fields, giving teams a way to update these values within their views.
Features
- Edit entries on the front end: Update Gravity Forms submissions from front-end views, so entry changes can be made on the site without using the WordPress dashboard.
- Set entry permissions: Control who can edit entries, giving teams or clients access to make changes while limiting editing to the people you choose.
- Choose editable fields: Select which form fields users can edit, tailoring the editing interface to the information that should be changeable.
- Edit within GravityView: Work with entry data in GravityView views, where displayed Gravity Forms submissions can be edited inline.
- Update Entry Tags: Edit Entry Tags fields inline in GravityView views, so tag values can be changed alongside other displayed entry information.
- Edit Dynamic Lookup fields: Make inline changes to Dynamic Lookup fields in entries, including fields whose available choices may have changed.
Best for
- Teams managing Gravity Forms entries
- Sites displaying submissions in GravityView
- Organizations updating event registration data
Changelog
Version 2.13.0 — 15 October 2026
- New Inline editing of Entry Tags fields in GravityView Views (requires Entry Tags 1.5.0 or newer).
- Security Improved security when displaying Entry Tags values after inline editing.
- Security Inline editing could allow unintended changes to entries under certain conditions.
- Fixed Issues with inline editing Entry Tags fields: Saving on the Gravity Forms entries list never finished; The inline editor showed the tags of the first entry on the page alongside the entry's own tags, and saving kept them; A tag containing a quotation mark or < erased every tag when saved; Tags saved as comma-separated text (for example, by an import) opened as plain text instead of in the tag picker; An entry with damaged Entry Tags data stopped inline editing from working for every field below it.
- Fixed Issues with inline editing Dynamic Lookup fields: Fields whose selected record was no longer one of their choices (for example, an entry moved to the trash) showed no selection and were cleared on save; Checkboxes could show the wrong boxes ticked after their choices changed, and inline editing another field could remove those selections.
- Fixed Saving a field inline removed backslashes from its value (except in Paragraph Text fields).
- Fixed Opening another field while an inline editor was open took two clicks when Inline Edit Mode was set to "In-Place" or when editing a whole column.
- Improved Updated Foundation to version 1.37.0.
