Terms of use

These terms cover your use of GPL 247: browsing the store, opening an account, buying a plan or a product, and downloading and updating products. Please read them with our Refund policy and Privacy policy.

Last updated 24 October 2026

The short version

  • You’re buying access to GPL-licensed code. GPL 247 isn’t connected with the developers, so you don’t get their licence keys or their support.
  • Monthly and Yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in My Account.
  • Your account is for you. Daily download limits apply, and Fair play and conduct explains what’s allowed.
  • Nothing here affects your rights under consumer law.

About these terms

Who runs this website?

This website is run by GPL 247. You can contact us through our contact page.

When do these terms apply?

Whenever you use the site. When you open an account or place an order, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Can these terms change?

Yes, for example when the store changes or the law does. We’ll update the date at the top of this page. Changes don’t affect an order you’ve already paid for. If we make a big change that affects your plan, we’ll email you before your next renewal so you can cancel if you want to.

Your account

Who can open an account?

You need to be 18 or over and able to make a legal agreement. If you buy for a business, you confirm you’re allowed to accept these terms for it.

How do I keep my account safe?

Give us accurate details, use a strong password and keep it to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us straight away.

Can I share my account?

No. An account is for one person or one business. You can use what you download on as many sites as you like, including your clients’ sites, but please don’t share your login, your Updater key or your download links. See Fair play and conduct.

Plans and payment

How do plans work?

A plan lets you download any product in the store, and get new versions, while the plan is active and within the daily download limit for your plan. The Plans page shows each plan’s price, length and daily limit.

Do plans renew automatically?

Monthly and Yearly plans renew at the end of each period and we take payment using the method you paid with, until you cancel. You can cancel any time in My Account, and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

How long does a Lifetime plan last?

A Lifetime plan has one payment and no renewals. It lasts for as long as we run the GPL 247 store. If we ever close the store, we’ll give Lifetime members at least 30 days’ notice by email.

Can prices change?

Yes, but a change never affects a payment you’ve already made. If the price of your Monthly or Yearly plan goes up, we’ll email you at least 30 days before you’re charged the new price, so you can cancel first if you want to.

Which currency and taxes apply?

Prices are shown in the currency on the store. Any tax that applies to your order is shown at checkout before you pay.

Can I buy a single product?

Yes. You can buy any product on its own from its page, which also says how long you get downloads and updates for it.

Can I cancel and get a refund?

If you haven’t downloaded anything, you can get a full refund within 14 days of paying. Because downloads are instant and can’t be returned, purchases are final once you’ve downloaded, apart from faulty products. Our Refund policy has the details.

Products and the GPL

What exactly am I buying?

Access to download copies of plugins, themes and template kits that are distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL), and their new versions while your plan or purchase is active. It’s the developer’s own code, as they release it.

What does the GPL let me do?

The GPL lets you use the code on any number of sites, change it, and share it under the same licence. Some products also contain files with their own licences, such as images, fonts or stock photos in template kits. Check those before you use them commercially.

Do I get licence keys or the developer’s support?

No. GPL 247 isn’t connected with the developers, so licence keys and the developer’s support aren’t included. Features that rely on the developer’s own servers, such as cloud services, AI credits or remote demo imports, may not work.

What about trademarks?

Product names and logos belong to their owners. We use them only to say what a product is. It doesn’t mean the owners are connected with us or approve of GPL 247.

How do updates work?

We add new versions as developers release them, but we can’t promise exactly when each one will arrive. The GPL 247 Updater is free with every plan and brings new versions to your WordPress dashboard. Keep backups, and test updates on a staging site before you update a live one.

Are the files safe to use?

Products are supplied as the developers release them. As with any software, test a product before you use it on a live site and keep backups. If you think something is wrong with a file, tell us and we’ll look at it straight away.

Using the site

What isn’t allowed?

Please don’t:

  • use the site for anything illegal,
  • use bots, scripts or scrapers to download or copy the store,
  • sell or share access to your account, Updater key or download links,
  • try to get around download limits or security,
  • interfere with the site or other members,
  • pay with a card you’re not allowed to use, or make false payment disputes.

The GPL lets you share code you’ve downloaded. These rules are about our service and your account.

Will the site always be available?

We work hard to keep it running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. Products may be added, changed or removed from the store at any time.

Can you suspend or close my account?

Yes, if you break these terms. We’ll usually contact you first, unless it’s serious, such as fraud or an attack on the site. If we close your account when you haven’t broken these terms, we’ll refund the unused part of your plan. Fair play and conduct explains how this works.
