Overview

Planning a publishing schedule across multiple posts and contributors can make deadlines and editorial progress harder to track. PublishPress Planner Pro gives WordPress teams a central place to organize planned content by date, status, category, and author. Its calendar displays upcoming work, while the content overview helps editors sort through planned articles and view printable reports.

Teams can manage posts on a Kanban-style board by moving them between workflow statuses, including Draft, Pending Review, Scheduled, and Published. Customizable notifications can alert selected people to content changes, and reminder notifications can be set around publication dates. Slack notifications and Google Calendar export provide additional ways to follow editorial plans outside the planner.

Features

  • Drag-and-drop calendar: View the WordPress publishing schedule on a calendar, then create or reschedule content and track deadlines from the calendar interface.
  • Sortable content overview: Sort planned content by status, category, or author in an overview dashboard, and create printable reports of planned articles.
  • Kanban content board: Move posts between statuses such as Draft, Pending Review, Scheduled, and Published to track editorial progress on a visual board.
  • Editorial notifications: Choose notification settings to send selected team members alerts about content changes and editorial updates.
  • Slack notifications: Receive PublishPress notifications in Slack channels and reply to notifications without opening WordPress.
  • Publication reminders: Set automated reminders before or after publication dates to help your team keep track of content deadlines.
  • Google Calendar export: Export your WordPress content schedule to Google Calendar for access to your editorial plan there.

Best for

  • WordPress blogs with planned publishing schedules
  • Editorial teams coordinating post workflows
  • Editors tracking content deadlines and status
