Overview

This extension connects Stripe payment processing to Gravity Flow workflows, so payment actions can follow the same process as form submissions, approvals, and other workflow steps. A payment can be authorized when someone submits a form, then captured later if the workflow reaches the right point. If the process does not continue, the authorization can be cancelled instead.

Workflow steps also let site owners process refunds and manage Stripe subscriptions. Refunds can apply to payments from the current entry or to other Stripe transactions linked to different forms. Payment steps show their processing status in the entry timeline, giving workflow participants a record of how each transaction was handled. This plugin suits organizations that use Gravity Forms and Gravity Flow to coordinate payments with approvals or fulfillment.

Features

  • Authorize at submission: Authorize a Stripe payment when a customer submits a form, allowing the workflow to continue before the payment is captured.
  • Capture after approval: Capture an authorized payment later in the workflow, after review, approval, or other steps have taken place.
  • Cancel authorizations: Void a payment authorization when a workflow does not proceed, without capturing the payment.
  • Process refunds: Refund a payment from the current entry or another Stripe transaction linked to a different form.
  • Manage subscriptions: Create or cancel Stripe subscriptions within a workflow to handle subscription actions alongside other process steps.
  • Add payment workflow steps: Use dedicated Capture Payment, Cancel Payment, Refund Payment, and Cancel Subscription steps at points in a workflow.
  • Review payment status: See the processing status of each payment step in the workflow entry timeline.

Best for

  • Gravity Forms sites with approval workflows
  • Organizations handling pre-orders or delayed payments
  • Sites managing Stripe subscriptions and refunds

  • Fixed Fixed the PHP 8.1 deprecation notice for trim() that occurs when the add-on is activated on a new site.
  • New API: Added the [gravityflowstripe_pre_cancel_workflow](https://docs.gravityflow.io/gravityflowstripe_pre_cancel_workflow/) action to allow for custom actions to be performed before the workflow is cancelled due to a failed payment.
