wpForo User Mentioning

In active forums, members may want to bring a specific person into a conversation without relying on them to find the post themselves. wpForo User Mentioning adds an @ mention workflow to topic and post editors, so participants can search for a user while writing and include that person in the discussion.

When a member types @, a dropdown suggests matching users, removing the need to remember an exact username. Members can move through suggestions with the keyboard and select a person with Enter. Mentioned users receive email notifications, making the plugin suited to wpForo communities where members need alerts about relevant discussions.

Features

• Autocomplete user search: Typing @ in a topic or post editor opens a dropdown with matching user suggestions, so members can find the person they want to mention.
• Keyboard navigation: Members can browse suggested users with the up and down arrow keys, then select a person by pressing Enter.
• Email alerts for mentions: When a forum member is mentioned, the selected user receives an email notification about the discussion.
• Topic and post editors: User mentioning is available in both topic and post editors, allowing members to tag others while composing forum content.
• Built for wpForo forums: The plugin adds its mention workflow to wpForo forums, making it relevant for site owners running a community with that forum software.
