wpDiscuz - Syntax Highlighter is a WordPress plugin by gVectors Team that formats code shared in wpDiscuz comments.
Code pasted into comments can be difficult to read, especially when it includes programming syntax. This addon displays snippets as formatted, color-coded blocks, making them easier for readers to follow. It uses the highlight.js library and supports popular languages such as PHP, JavaScript, Python, C++, CSS, HTML, SQL, and Bash.
Commenters can add a code block with a toolbar button in the wpDiscuz comment editor and preview its formatting before posting. Site administrators can select a highlighting style and enable or disable supported languages to suit their community. A copy button lets readers copy code from comments, and the addon works with wpDiscuz's AJAX-based commenting.
The code of wpDiscuz - Syntax Highlighter is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL 247 is a paid service: a plan or a purchase of wpDiscuz - Syntax Highlighter gives you the download and its updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Version 1.0.8, released 15 May 2025. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them.
