Download Monitor Captcha Addon

Automated requests can put downloadable files within reach of bots and scripts. This addon adds a human verification step to Download Monitor forms, asking visitors to complete Google reCAPTCHA before they access files. It is suited to sites that share files through Download Monitor and want a verification layer for those forms.

The addon also includes an audio CAPTCHA option for visitors who are visually impaired. Site owners and developers can override the CAPTCHA template to adjust its appearance to suit the site. This gives teams a way to add verification while retaining control over how the CAPTCHA is presented alongside their existing Download Monitor forms.

Features

• Google reCAPTCHA checks: Add Google reCAPTCHA verification to Download Monitor forms, requiring visitors to complete a human check before accessing files.
• Download Monitor integration: Use the addon with the Download Monitor plugin to place CAPTCHA verification in the file access flow.
• Audio CAPTCHA option: Offer an audio CAPTCHA option to support visitors who are visually impaired during verification.
• Overridable CAPTCHA template: Override the default CAPTCHA template to adjust its appearance and align it with the site's design.
• Bot screening for forms: Put an automated-traffic check in front of file access to help limit bot activity on Download Monitor forms.
