S3 Image Storage for bbPress

Forums with frequent image sharing can use up server storage as members add more pictures. S3 Image Storage for bbPress connects a bbPress forum to Amazon S3 and stores uploaded images there instead of on the WordPress server. This gives community owners an external storage location for forum images.

After the connection is set up, the plugin stores and serves uploaded images directly from Amazon S3. It is intended for bbPress communities that want to manage shared images separately from their WordPress hosting. The plugin focuses on user-uploaded images, so it suits forums where pictures are part of member discussions.

Features

• Amazon S3 storage: The plugin stores images uploaded by forum users on Amazon S3, placing shared media outside the WordPress server.
• Direct image serving: Images are served directly from Amazon S3, so forum media files are delivered from the connected storage service.
• bbPress integration: Connect the plugin to a bbPress forum to manage images posted by users within the community.
• External media storage: Move forum images away from the WordPress server to reduce the amount of media stored with the site.
• S3 connection setup: Forum administrators can connect their bbPress environment to Amazon S3 through the plugin's setup and configuration.
• User image handling: The plugin handles uploaded images shared by forum users, making it suited to communities with active image posting.
