BuddyPress User Circles

Members can create multiple circles for groups such as family, friends, or colleagues. Circles give people a way to organize their connections within a BuddyPress community and filter activity streams to see updates related to selected groups. Users can also choose whether circles appear as a top-level tab or under the friends component.

Site administrators can set who is allowed to create circles, control circle visibility, and decide whether users may add only friends or any community member. The plugin also offers options for circle notifications, default circles for new members, and notification emails. These controls suit social and professional communities that want members to organize connections while admins retain oversight.
