wpDiscuz - Emoticons

Text comments can make it harder for readers to convey tone and emotion. This add-on gives wpDiscuz users visual ways to express themselves, with a selector button in the comment toolbar and automatic conversion of typed smile codes into emoticon images. It is designed for blogs and other WordPress sites where visitors use wpDiscuz to comment.

Site admins can add custom emoticons, create and switch between emoticon packages, and enable or disable individual icons. Emoticon conversion can also be enabled in post content. For communities using bbPress, the plugin can replace forum emoticons and add a chooser to topic and post editors.

Features

• Comment toolbar selector: Adds a smiley button to the comment textarea toolbar, where users can choose an emoticon to insert into their comment.
• Smile code conversion: Converts typed smile codes in comment content into corresponding emoticon images.
• Custom emoticons: Lets site admins add personalized emoticons using custom codes and images.
• Emoticon package controls: Create, manage, and switch between multiple emoticon packages for the site's comment conversations.
• Individual icon controls: Enable or disable individual emoticons to control which icons are available in community conversations.
• bbPress forum support: Replaces bbPress forum post emoticons with wpDiscuz emoticons and adds a chooser to topic and post editors.
