wpDiscuz - Comment Search

Large comment sections can make it hard to locate a particular discussion or contribution. This add-on gives visitors and administrators a front-end search form, so they can search comment data instead of browsing through comments manually. Search options include comment text, author names, author email addresses, and custom fields.

Search results appear dynamically as users type, without a page refresh. AJAX pagination lets users move through result pages, and a widget can extend comment search across posts and pages. Site owners can control whether guests see the search form, adjust its appearance, and translate its front-end phrases.

Features

• Search multiple comment fields: Search comments by their text, author name, author email address, or custom fields to locate specific discussions and contributions.
• Live search results: The AJAX-powered search updates results as users type, without requiring them to reload the page.
• AJAX pagination: Users can navigate through comment search results with AJAX pagination while keeping the search context in view.
• Sitewide comment widget: A comment search widget lets visitors look across the comment database on posts and pages throughout the site.
• Guest search controls: Choose whether guest users can see the comment search form, giving site owners control over its visibility.
• Front-end appearance settings: Adjust the search form's colors, backgrounds, borders, and phrases to suit the site's design and language.

Best for
