Overview
AnalyticsWP puts website analytics inside the WordPress dashboard, so site owners can review visitor activity without leaving their site. It records individual user journeys and conversion paths, helping you see how people navigate pages and move toward a conversion. Reports can be tailored to highlight the metrics you want to review.
Analytics data stays on your server and is not shared with external services. WooCommerce integration includes tracking for product views, cart activity, and sales metrics. The plugin also supports multiple websites and user roles, which can suit agencies and people managing multi-site WordPress setups.
Features
- Dashboard analytics: View real-time website analytics in your WordPress dashboard, with reports available without switching to an external analytics service.
- Visitor journey tracking: Review individual user journeys to understand how visitors navigate your site and which pages they visit along the way.
- Conversion path analysis: Track conversion paths to see the steps visitors take through sales or lead generation funnels.
- On-server data storage: Keep analytics data on your own server. The plugin does not share that data with external services.
- WooCommerce tracking: Track product views, cart activity, and sales metrics for a WooCommerce store.
- Custom reports: Tailor reporting dashboards to highlight the metrics you want to monitor for your website.
- Multiple site support: Use the plugin across multiple websites and user roles, a fit for agencies and multi-site WordPress setups.
Best for
- WordPress site owners reviewing visitor behavior
- WooCommerce store operators tracking sales activity
- Agencies managing multiple WordPress websites
Changelog
Version 2.3.0 — 8 May 2025
- Security Fixed an issue where several of the plugin's AJAX endpoints could be called without being logged in. This allowed an unauthenticated visitor to read stored analytics events — including visitor IP addresses, page URLs, referrers, and, for visitors who were logged in when the event was recorded, their email address — as well as retrieve the analytics report or have it emailed to an address of their choosing. Every endpoint now verifies the caller before doing any work. Reported by Valentin Univers-PC via WPScan (CVE-2026-19647, CVE-2026-19648).
- Security Agency Mode requests between sites are now signed and verified correctly, and are no longer accepted on sites without an active licence.
- Security Removed the permissive cross-origin header from endpoints that authenticate with an administrator session.
- Fixed Report previews and test report emails now only accept sites that are already configured as clients.
- Fixed The dashboard header showed “v2.0” regardless of the installed version.
