Overview
Community members often need to share resources as part of conversations and updates. This plugin adds file uploads to profiles and activity streams, so members can post documents, images, audio, and video alongside their community activity. Upload controls include drag-and-drop and buttons, giving users more than one way to add a file.
Site administrators can set which file types members may upload, configure size limits, and control upload permissions. These settings let community owners shape file sharing around their site's needs. The plugin is suited to PeepSo communities where members share resources through profiles and activity streams, including e-learning platforms, marketplaces, and membership communities.
Features
- Profile and stream uploads: Members can upload files directly to their profiles or activity streams, making shared resources part of their community activity.
- Multiple file formats: The plugin supports images, documents, audio, and video, allowing members to share different kinds of media and resources.
- Drag-and-drop uploads: Members can add files using drag-and-drop controls or upload buttons when sharing content in the community.
- Allowed file types: Administrators can choose which file types members are allowed to upload, keeping uploads within the site's chosen formats.
- File size limits: Site administrators can configure upload size limits to set boundaries for files shared by community members.
- Upload permissions: Administrators can configure who has permission to upload, giving site owners control over file sharing in the community.
