Paid Member Subscriptions Group Memberships

Managing separate subscriptions for each person can add work for clubs, companies, schools, and families. This add-on lets one person, the Group Owner, purchase and manage a subscription on behalf of a group. Billing is handled through the owner’s account, while group members receive access without managing payments individually.

The Group Owner can invite members and remove them as group needs change. When the owner’s subscription expires, access for associated group members is suspended as well. The add-on is designed for WordPress membership websites using Paid Member Subscriptions, with group subscriptions suited to organizations that manage membership access collectively.

Features

• Centralized billing: A Group Owner manages the subscription payment for the group through one account, rather than having each member handle a separate payment.
• Member invitations: The Group Owner can invite people to join the group, providing a way to add members under the group subscription.
• Remove group members: The Group Owner can remove existing members as the group changes, keeping control of who belongs to the group.
• Shared expiry behavior: When the Group Owner’s subscription expires, access for all associated group members is suspended along with it.
• Access without individual payments: Group members receive login access without handling subscription payments individually, while the owner manages the group subscription.
• Group subscription use cases: The add-on supports collective membership access for companies, families, schools, and clubs through a subscription managed by one person.
