Easy Digital Downloads - Gateway Fees

Payment processing fees can add costs to sales in an Easy Digital Downloads store. This plugin lets you set fees for individual payment gateways, so the amount can reflect the method a customer selects at checkout. You can also create fee rules based on the order total, giving you options for handling different purchase amounts.

Choose a fixed fee, a percentage-based fee, or a combination of both. The plugin calculates fees at checkout and can display them to customers before payment. Store owners can manage fee settings in the admin area, while developers can use hooks and filters to customize the functionality.

Features

• Gateway-specific fees: Set a fee for each payment gateway in your Easy Digital Downloads store, with amounts tailored to the payment method selected at checkout.
• Order total rules: Apply fees according to the order total, allowing fee handling to vary with the amount of a customer's purchase.
• Flexible fee types: Choose fixed fees, percentage-based fees, or a combination of the two to define how each gateway fee is calculated.
• Checkout fee calculation: The plugin calculates gateway fees at checkout, so the applicable fee is included in the customer's order.
• Customer fee display: Show payment gateway fees during checkout to make the added cost visible to customers before they complete payment.
