Overview

This plugin lets store owners sell eBooks, software, music, and other digital products through GetPaid. Attach files to products, then provide customers with access after payment. It fits WordPress sites that already use GetPaid and need a way to sell file-based products alongside their ecommerce offerings.

Customers can reach purchased files from the payment confirmation page, invoices, or a My Downloads area. Sellers can set download expiry dates and limits, protect file URLs, and restrict access to logged-in customers who purchased the product. An option also allows file access without logging in, and external storage links let sellers host files with third-party services.

Version 2.1.1 — 29 October 2026

Improved The Downloads Remaining column is left out when every download is unlimited (it only showed the infinity sign), and the Downloads block can always hide it.
New Downloads block and [getpaid_downloads]: items argument to list only some items' downloads (a bundle's downloads use the bundle item's ID), and the getpaid_customer_downloads_widget_downloads filter.
Fixed Download limit set on an item was never saved, so downloads were unlimited.
Fixed Renewing or editing a subscription changed the download expiry for every customer of the same item.
Fixed Deleting a download permission on an invoice removed it for every customer.
Fixed Downloads are now limited to allowed folders and file types, and range requests can only resume a recent download once the download limit is reached.
Security GitHub connection accepted a forged authorization callback and skipped SSL checks, and fetched file names could write outside the uploads folder.
Fixed GitHub fetch ignored the selected tag, and stopped with a fatal error on PHP 8 when the repository has a readme.txt.
Fixed Fatal error on PHP 7.2 when editing or saving an item.
