Overview

The add-on lets you restrict access to downloadable files according to membership level. Use it for resources such as ebooks, PDFs, videos, audio files, and other digital content. This gives membership sites a way to make selected files available to specific tiers while keeping other downloads restricted.

Manage downloads through the site's membership setup, and display published files with the download shortcode, Download block, Download Library, or email download links. You can organize files by category and filter a library to show downloads from a chosen category. The add-on suits course sites, digital libraries, and subscription communities that offer members access to downloadable content.

Features

  • Level-based file access: Set download access according to membership level, so different tiers can access the files intended for them.
  • Multiple file types: Offer downloadable ebooks, PDFs, videos, audio files, and other digital assets through the membership site.
  • Download library: Display a library of downloads with the Download Library block or shortcode, and filter its contents by download category.
  • Published downloads only: The download shortcode, block, library, and email links display published downloads. Unpublished downloads do not appear in those locations.
  • Confirmation page shortcode: Use download shortcodes in level confirmation messages displayed with the confirmation shortcode, so members can see relevant file links on the confirmation page.

Best for

  • Online course sites with member resources
  • Digital libraries with tiered access
  • Subscription communities offering file downloads
